Wishes for Clean Dishes

Writer's picture: Erez SimonErez Simon

Dishes, dishes and more dishes… Maintaining a household of 6 people can be challenging when it comes to doing the dishes. That’s why in our house rules, the kids take turns in either placing the dirty dished into the dishwasher or taking them out from the dishwasher into the kitchen cabinets. They usually do their job (after a bit of nagging, I must say), and many times, more than once a day.

Sustainable Shopping Made Simple

Instead of using the popular dishwasher detergents we’re used to, I recently began exploring more eco-friendly alternatives. I came across Dropps Dishwasher Detergent Pods, based on biodegradable, naturally derived, non-toxic, plant-derived ingredients. I like the fact they arrive in a recyclable and compostable box with no plastic at all.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this post, they are out of stock, but hopefully, soon enough I will be able to order it and try it out. My kids will be the first ones to appreciate their Dad’s sustainable tribute.

Any ideas for other eco-friendly alternatives for dishwasher detergents I can test in the meanwhile? Share them here in the comments section. I would love to know about them!
